Recently, the world’s leading PV manufacturer DMEGC Solar and TÜV SÜD jointly announced: the new generation "smart module" of DMEGC Solar has successfully passed the IEC 61730-1:2016, IEC 61730-2:2016 and IEC 62109-3:2020 test and obtained the world's first "smart component" certificate issued by TÜV SÜD.
Different from the current main stream smart modules which remain at the module level MPPT (Max Power Point Tracker), the new smart module of DMEGC Solar realizes the cell string level MPPT, it solves the limited output due to the current mismatch between the cell strings and ensure each cell string of module are always in the best working status.
The new smart module of DMEGC Solar has following standout advantages:
1. Allowing different orientation modules into one same module string before connecting to inverter. This significantly simplifies the electronic structure of a PV system on a complex structure tile roof and/or complex shading area.
2. Successfully eliminates the Hot Spot defect , which is assumably a very important factor of impacts the module long term reliability or even will result into hazard accident.
3. The active and passive shut down function will significantly promote the safety level of the solar PV system during operating or at fire rescue.
4. Cloud monitoring and diagnostics both enable users to understand the operation status of PV system anytime and anywhere, and greatly save the operation and maintenance costs.
“DMEGC Solar always focused on the innovation of technologies and products, meeting customer needs with higher performance and better quality products. Many thanks to TÜV SÜD for the support and recognition of our new smart module, it’s authoritative certification can make DMEGC Solar smart module more competitive in the market. We hope to deepen cooperation with TÜV SÜD and jointly promote the healthy and sustainable development of the PV industry with efficient and cutting-edge products.” The product director of DMEGC Solar said.
Zhangzhulin, senior operation director and chief visa officer of TÜV SÜD said, the new standard has set higher requirements for the performance of smart module. DMEGC Solar smart modules passed the rigorous tests and assessments in all aspects, including environmental requirements and conditions, electric shock and hazards, mechanical hazards, fire hazards, the performance and quality of hot spot and power optimization have reached the global leading level. In the future, we hope to deepen our cooperation with DMEGC Solar, jointly accelerate the successful transformation of global green energy.
